This was a post I made on social network to a complaining fat ass. Very basic but anyone with weight issues would benefit from this basic model instead of the dollar menu.

I've seen a lot of complaining about eating healthy being expensive. I don't understand that? Allow me to help you. Kroger or BJ's is where you shop...

5 dozen eggs - $7
4lbs ground Turkey - $10
Wheat rounds - $3
Box of Oat Meal - $5
Raisin to snack on 3lb bag - $7
Box of brown rice - $1
3lbs Ground Chicken $7
Granola Bars/ one weeks worth - $7
Lavish Bread Wraps - $3

$50 for one weeks food, oatmeal and eggs will last 2 weeks or more!

You're welcome:cool:

If you're a big spender Kroger carries $1 1lb bag of frozen veggies, or Bj's has 3.5lb bags of Broccoli Florets for $3

I save big time by coupons. Only take my wife a couple hours a week and we average about 60% off our grocery bill.

You can do the same at Walmart bro. Like NTL said it's all about coupons too. Also don't leave out local butcher shops and produce stands freshest meats and veggies very well priced.

Your right on bro!! Fresh veggies and fruits aren't expensive, you can find lean meats on sale all the time at Kroger.

It's a grocery chain, lots of them here in Ohio. Good prices and in my experience good meat.

Krogers are also called king sooper elsewhere in the country Colorado for one. Hell I just check the ads every Tuesday and they tell you what's on sale. I just find one that has chicken breasts on sale for .99-1.99 a lb and that's where I shop that week.

For the most part in my area everything but meat and produce prices are pretty much the same from store to store except each one has the chicken on sale a different week. So it's always on sale somewhere.

My first job was working in the meat department at Kroger, I always check the mark-down case, I can tell if it's still good or not, if it is I will pretty much clean it out take it home and freeze it...discount meats usually save 30-50%.

We don't have them where I live, I think our equivalent here would be Sam's Club.

I love the filet mignon and organic chicken at Costco. The baby loves chicken so I told my wife to buy organic for her.
