Got pulled over and ticketed doing 98 on the freeway 65 is the limit anyone know what kind o fine I'm looking at or any worse penalties I'm looking at
From why I've gathered I can't do traffic school so I guess I'll have to fight it

Best possible outcome would be deferred ajudication that's what I managed to pull off with a nearly identical ticket. Told me no traffic school, pay a 350 fine. Talked to a lawyer they called the court. Essential it's like probation for driving. No more tickets in a year and it just disappears.

Or as you said fight it.

Thats wreckless driving here in my part of the world which results in a 6 month suspended licence.

Damn if y'all don't mind what parts of the country do y'all live in that are hitting you with wreck less driving and suspending your license.

I must be lucky to live in Texas when I got that ticket. I ended up getting off scot free

I live in virginia, any speed over 30mph is considered wreck less. I love it here but they dont play around when it comes to the law.

30 over where Im from is criminal speeding, and depending on the cop you can be arrested on the spot. Ive had this happen and had my bike towed, lost my license, was arrested, and payed a good sized fine. I know this doesnt make it any better but it could be worse. Stay strong brother it cant rain everyday.

Yeah I was really worried he saw how fast I was really moving. I was happy when he wrote me for 85+.

Guess I have just been lucky then. I usually get far enough ahead in just a few sec that I can find a side road and turn without them seeing. I did go balls out on two Arkansas state troopers as I was coming from TN headed back to TX. I was doing about 120 when they got me by the time they got onto the freeway I was doing over 160 then pegged it at 18?.

Wife said I'm an adrenaline junky that's why I'm not allowed to have a bike. Lol

I'd rather not pay the fine and sit in jail a week

Plead no-Lo or no contest. Meaning your not pleading guilty or innocent or guilty and should keep it off your driving record as well as reduce the fine.

where i'm from pleading "No Contest" is just like pleading guilty. the judge sees no difference and sentences you the same. it's a joke here

I've never paid anytime I've been in jail other than my court and lawyer fees

chrisotpherm
10-24-2012, 06:23 AM
That's garbage man. I would call a lawyer on that. If you don't want to pay a huge fine you can always see if you can do community service in replace of a fine payment. Been there before man. When I way younger I was one more speeding trickery away from having my licence revoked, at age 17. Lol.

I lost my license when I was 20. I was doing about 145 when I saw the state Police and they got me going 85. lol in a car. I went over the hill and nailed it again. I finally stopped and waited on them. In Kentucky the cop cars top out at about 120. I basically didnt know what I topped out at. lol I lost my license for a year. I couldnt out run them the state police station was at the next exit so I was out of luck on that. I wish I could help but I have a lead foot too.
