Tastes great, digests easier and is quite filling. Anyone else add oats to their shakes?

Depends on what I'm trying to do. But yea and from my understanding it also helps slow the shake down going thru your system so you digest more of the protein.

I always put 1/4 cup in my wake up shake. That was my only direct source of carbs for the day.i ate 4200 cals all from protein and fats for my last show.

I'd rather just eat them. I eat them raw almost daily. Just add cinnamon and some fresh fruit. A vegetarian bb friend of mine gave me the idea to eat them raw. I like it way better then cooking them. I can eat twice the amount uncooked vs cooked and I don't have to wait for 20 minutes for them to cool down lol.

I've had them in my shakes but didn't care for it.

Protein Factory.com has a micronized oat supplement that mixes easily in your shakes and it's not bad cost wise either. Give it a try.

So try em raw! a vegetarian buddy turned me onto this. I use a tiny bit of water, loaded of Saigon cinnamon, ground flax, sunflower seeds, and fresh fruit or berries.

I can eat double the amount as cooked and I don't feel like I'm eating prison gruel this way lol.

Lol. I love me some Saigon cinnamon! I toned it down a bit these days. My 1 yr old loves poaching my breakfast ESP the oats lol. She can't get enough of it!

I put them in my morning and pre workout shake but I have to grind them up real good because I don't like to chew my shakes. I also like to put in a couple teaspoons of flaxseed in my morning shake.

Lobe oats in my protein shake. It's really great preworkout meal as the carbs help with energy and the protein helps eith muscle catabolism

On top of that I usually have some sort of whole food and a few heaping spoons of peanut butter. All together I injest well over 1500 calories before sleeping and the messed up thing is that I weigh less when I wake up than when I went to sleep! lol

I put a whole bag of oats in the blender and ground them to near dust like (not on purpose, but that's how it all turns out after grinding most of the oats). I weight 1/4 cup of whole unground oats and I use the same weight with the grounds and use that in my shake.

It mixes well using water and chocolate flavored protein. Use milk instead and add some peanut butter and it tastes even better!

Same issue...but my scrambled egg whites, and not until recently when I changed back to Lucerne brand...I was using cage free eggs but the cost was double and felt a waste tossing the yolks...maybe what they feed the chickens??? I can clear a fucking hall with my gas lol.

Chobani non-fat greek yogurt has come out with oats in their yogurt. I always eat a cup before bedtime or at breakfast. Adds "texture" to the yogurt.

I'm still drinking 1 cup ground oats and 1 scoop protein in 12 ozs whole milk ever single night before bed. It helps me make it through the night without starving to death!
