This weekend wife and I are house sitting. Plenty of eggs and oatmeal for breakfast.

Any of you guys eat this stuff? Lots of carbs. Not TOO much sugar...its delicious. I eat regular oatmeal but this sure was easy!

I prefer rolled oats. Instant anything isn't as good for you but you also need to have the time to cook things the old fashioned way. Instant oats beats a lot of what others eat out there.

Old fashion is the way to go.. and cooking time .. that is a piece of cake with the microwave.
pour oats and water in bowl...4.5 - 5 minutes at 50% , done before my egg whites...
also a protein scoop is great 1/4 cup measurement..
try to start my day every day like that ..

I like the thicker cut, slow cook, but instant oats are a lot better than some garbage out there...

yeah I am not dis'ng quick oat ... I also just prefer the more meatier old fashion oatmeal .. the finer it is the more mushy . instant can have sugar added ...I have tried steel cut... that is chewie and hardy, and not very tasty.

I remember growing up..Mom's Meatloaf was made with oatmeal ,right off the Oatmeal box .. one day she was out of oatmeal , and used Oat Bran.. oh boy that sucker was dry ..a little varnish and it would make a nice door stop...LOL

^^^lol.

they taste good. I used to eat the shit out of the maple brown sugar ones.

I like rolled oats raw with blueberries way better now. I must be getting old lol. I have to fight my 1 yr old off for it every morning lol. it's fun to feed her as I eat. I'm glad she likes oats and fruit at a young age.

I buy a case of the instant variety every month..6 pkgs in the am..water..and whole milk. Its great for packing weight on..but yes..high in sugar. The rest of my diet has very little sugar in it tho. Tried the plain and no matter what i put in it just i.snt the same..oh well

I run old fashioned oatmeal theu the food processor and drink mine. It is so much easier to add it to a shake rather than east the same amount.

I like to drink my breakfast and get things dome, rather than sit and eat a bowl of oatmeal. Digest better for me that way too

speaking of blenders ..did you ever do the BB;s pancake ... place the oats, non fat cottage cheese and eggs in a blender until smooth ad Vanilla protien drink mix ( add this last since it causes the thickness to go way up) and pour into hot pam sprayed pan... use calorie free pancake syrup

awesome
