How long does your training session typically take? Do you worry about being in the gym for over an hour? Do you adhere to the broscience of 45min or less?

Let's hear it. I'll go first.

First things first, I don't adhere to the idea that you have to be in and out in under an hour. I'm in there to do battle with the iron and it usually takes me over an hour. I don't rush my heavy days and I've been known to take 1hour 45min when I'm going after it. As long as my numbers keep inproving and I keep looking sexy as hell I'm happy. I don't sit around and chit chat but I train with 2 other people so it takes time.

Agree...I play it by feel, although this morning was 50 minutes but the wife and I accomplished 32 sets in that time...talk about volume training! Usually anywhere between 1-1 1/2 hours depending. Zeds leg routine takes some time that is for sure!!!

My last squat day was made up of back squats, front squats, and Anderson squats. I'm still recoverying from Sunday.

Used to be 45 mins...I'm more about 60-75mins now. Taking my time during my real heavy lifts. Like sis says...if my #'s are increasing every week then that's my indicator!

Nice!!! Zeds is Squats (power/front/hack)..5 second down/up, 7x7...then Leg Press...10 second down/up, 7x7. A set of presses takes 2:40 to perform. Pretty brutal...this is an 8 week program. I think he is trying to get my legs to grow...the wife's too!!!

So 20 min warm up.
At least 1 hour or more on weights.
20 mins stairs or abs. Depending on the day.
So min 1 hour 45 mins. No bullshitting around.

I try and keep my work outs to about one hour and ten minutes. In the past I have spent as long as two hours and a few minutes in the gym. I usually dont talk until the work out is over. Yes I do the normal talk between sets if I have a partner but no B.S. I just put my head sets on and max the volume and go after it.

i think going by feel is the best. my workouts and times change periodically. currently am hitting an average of 45 min in the gym, no cardio, once i bring cardio into the mix prolly be twice that time.

Been thinking lately that 1 hr rule was retarded. Glad to know I'm on the right path.

45 minutes max... assuming the weights I need are available. If I incorporate cardio I'll go for 75 minutes.

1 hour weights
1 hour cardio

.....so by my crazy gorilla math that's about 2 hours :)

It's not like the human body has a clock and once it read 1hour all your gains go to waste. I hate when I see people worry more about timing their workout than getting in, busting their ass, and getting out. Of course you don't want to sit around and chat. Once you're done than you can chat while your taking your postworkout meal.

I spent one hour in the gym and i think one hour is enough to do workout in the gym. I am sure that many people go to the gym regularly so everyone should spent at least one hour there.

Time spent in the gym is completely dependent on what the person is trying to accomplish. I've spent as little as 30 minutes in the gym when I was bodybuilding and I've sent as long as 3+ hours when I was Olympic weightlifting.

Well put... Three hours is too hardcore for me ;) ... after my 1-hour workout I don't know if I'm more hungry or sleepy.
