Ok what is your favorite highest calorie thing on thanksgiving .

in my family it is my grandmothers Stuffing that my Dad perfected...
he used to work up a pretty good sweat making it , as he whipped into a frenzy...

Sorry I am from a large family and only know how to make a huge batch
defrost a tube of pork sausage break up into workable pieces , melt 2 sticks of butter ( melted not hot)
4 eggs ,package of Bells seasoning , 2 cups of onion and celery flakes ,gound pepper and parsley
( not sure how much , Dad just eye balled it I'd say 2 tablespoons) Mix until smooth..
( dad used a serving spoon and started to sweat)

add two boxes of crush saltines hot water to till mixture is the consistency of lumpy firm oatmeal
poor into loaf pans and bake until it gets hot and firm
(hot water and more high powered stirring, really starting to sweat)

OK so it is really closer to a meatloaf ...but oh so good and loaded with fat

made great open face sandwiches the next day cause you could slice it :)

anyhow what's you through that 10,000 daily calorie in take barrier LOL

I so love Thanksgiving and I do nothing to make it "healthy". One of my faves is my homemade stuffing like my Mom makes all stuffed right in the bird! Homemade gravy on top. YUMMY! Its just a yummy holiday all around. I have been making homemade cranberry relish to and its so easy and so good. Lil chocolate pecan pie and a homemade pumpkin pie right from a cooked pumpkin. have just spent the past 2 years making the whole dinner with my daughter and just celebrating with the 3 of us instead of going by my family. We watch the parades on the TV and then we hit a movie later at night

this thread is not for anyone on a diet...
it for that over the top thing you do once a year
I want to hear about the deep fried cheesecake in fila dough
or Paula Dean's famous krispy creme doughnut used for a hamburger bun ...which she even said was so bad you
can only have it once in a life time

Grandma makes the best mouth watering pecan pie, this year I am going to attempt to add to the sweets table and make up a sweet potato pie my wife found a recipe on pinterest she wants me to try. Maybe I'll post the recipe if it turns out well. Gotta have green bean cassoroke turkey ham stuffing yams all the good shit. Nones better than the other and you can't have dinner without it all! Gonna get big gains this week! Haha

I call them fat balls. I can eat a million+1 of them.

They are a ball of pie crust with pie filling. They are like donut holes but with apple filling or pumpkin or blueberry, etc. My favorite = strawberry rhubarb.

I am gaining weight just thinking about them.

I grew up Irish ...that meant it had to come out of one big pot that was boiled until it had no flavor... :)
