I always get hungry before bed...mostly eat clean cals all day and at every meal. Before bed tonight I ate a huge whole grain pancake, couple eggs and a big glass of raw milk!

This happens like 2-3 nights a week, how many people just throw down a big meal right before bed?

Im 5'8, 175, 12%bf.....

I work long hours so my last meal is always right before bed.I think as long as you are eating clean and staying in your calorie range you will be fine.

It depends on what your goals are. If your trying to build muscle it's good because your body can use the calories to help repair muscle during the night

Are u trying to bulk ? now remember it's what u eat before bed that counts.. I would stay away from carbs as it ="fat gain" and even when trying to bulk u don't really need that.. I would make sure the protein is red meat or casein.. they are both slow digesting & that's what u want to aim for.

Yeap, I stick to just protein, I time my carbs and wouldn't have any before bed.

Protein and a little healthy fat (unsalted mixed nuts, natural peanut butter, EVO, etc.) to help your body process the protein you just consumed are a good before bed meal.

I agree with NTL. If you train in the a.m. on an empty stomach you should have no problems.

Can't do it. I can snack that's it. Have to have at least an hour or more before bed or I can't sleep.

I stick to 20 oz whole milk, 60g whey and 3-4 tsp of psyllium husk. If I eat anything too heavy I can't sleep because of acid reflux. Then I get up at 2am and have a 16oz glass of whole milk and 3 amino tablets.

I thought the body can't digest that much protein at least that's what I was told

Take digestive enzymes with every meal and shake

I mix a little lemon juice in some warm water and throw it back. Works wonders for me.

The body can usually absorb around 52-57g of protein every intake or food consumption.
