Well started putting my weights in storage and have to join that hardcore gym planet fatness. Anywho this will be interesting to see how long this last. Will be going in starting Monday for some weird reason this hardcore gym doesn't have dip belts so I have to bring my own lol. I'm sure 90% of the people in there have no idea what a dip belt is.

Going to switch to a 5x5 anyone have any routines for this that might be possible to do at the big PF with all there equipment?

I got escorted out of our Planet Fitness. They have an alarm people can push on the wall. Lunk alarm I think. They kicked me out in middle of my sets. And the girl that took me got a warning. Not to bring in monkeys to that place. When I heard that I freaked. So she no longer has a membership Fuck that place. Good luck bro.

lol I use to be a member of Planet Fitness years ago and its a total waste however its cheap. I switched to Golds about 8 years ago and have been very happy.

Was going to golds here for a while then bought all the stuff I need for home. The problem with golds is locations.

I was also ask to leave PF because of grunting and being "intimidating" to others that were"trying" to workout. I think that place is more for socializing than working out.

This may not be to bad at this location. Two benches and just saw a guy doing front squats. Shit I thought I would be the only one here doing that.

It dosnt seem like much but believe me that once you get up in weight its an ass kicker.
Workout 3 days per week or if you think your superman then you can try 4 days.
Eat like a mofo for this to work to the full potential for you.
Would be really cool for you to do a log.

If u eat right should work pretty good! I can dig up the Marvin eder program. It's very similar.

Routines like these are as old school as it gets!

Ok bro this is gonna blow your mind, but here goes.
Consider what you think you should start with.......then drop that by 35-50%.

The prob that most peeps have with the 5x5 is that they start way too heavy. You have to remember that on the SL 5x5 you gonna add 5 Lbs to every lift, every workout except Dead lifts. There your gonna add 10 lbs.
So at first you start out and you say this is bull shit. And then if you stick with it you get about half way thru and then you say "dam this is getting to be heavy ass shit man"
So if you start super light and you dont feel like your getting enough workout, then do extra sets. This is excellent for your connective tissues in getting them ready for the massive loads to come.
Bro the first time around I started (on bench) with an empty bar. I ended at 5 sets of 5 reps at 315.
Now you can always do a reset if you find that you started out too heavy but to me the system works much better if you can consistently keep moving forward.
Feel free to ask all you want bro. Will do my best to help you out.

Nah dude for your first time thru it do it exactly like I wrote it out for you. You are getting a hell of a core workout with all the squats and the deads, not to mention the bent over rows bro.
Just do it exactly as I wrote it out. You will see why as you progress thru it.

It is at the moment. The one down south isn't bad I banged some weight and no siren so I asked and they said they don't have it turned on there. The guys that work there actually look like they work out.

Yup in most PF there is a siren. I was working out at home too. I started searching the strong lifts 5x5 and they have a free iPhone app it's awesome.

As for using 5x5, I think you've chosen the worst gym possible. Your 5x5 should be build around squat (back/front), deadlift, bench, military press (standing).

The only thing that comes close to this bs, is when Lou Ferrigno came to a local Moore's, went just to see him + get a workout in. We were doing standing barbell curls and a guy comes over and says we can't do them like that. I was like wtf? what are we supposed to do? He pointed at the preacher bench, I said "we don't want to do preacher dcurls" he said either we did them that way or we had to go. We finished our workout (I hate missing them). We were leaving when one of them asked what we though of the place, I said" it sucks you can't do barbell curls..what a crock" I then looked at big Lou across the room and said " Why don't you go ask Mr. Ferrigno how many sets of barbell curls he has done over the course of his career". What a fucking joke, they also had the no chalk,no deadlifting, I can't believe these places have the audacity to call themselves a gym. Pitiful, If I had one of the PF around me and I was all geared up I'd go just to get thrown out...

Lol the planet fitness I have been going to isn't that bad. They are leaking some thing but they don't say shit when we make noise etc. I use the bar from the bench to do squats,dead lifts etc. I have my employee and one of the other guys there to help me put the bar up for squats. It does piss off the upper body only guys that I'm keeping them from there daily bench sessions.
