I swear the hardest part about bodybuilding is having to constantly eat. I’m at the point where nothing tastes good and even the thought of food is nauseating.

what are you guys doing to combat this and get past this???

You test again for the virus ? That is one of the signs .Otherwise - join the boat - if it tastes good - it will make you fat .Plus- you have to buy almost pure organic and fresh or it IS SHIT -lol-Pops

Tested again couple weeks ago, negative. You’re right though, my sense of taste hasn’t been the same since I did get it, everything tasted salty as fuck and nothing tastes good. I gotta figure something out quick, 210lbs to 192 right now.

Eating is the hardest part, food for us is not for pleasure, it's for a purpose and that is how I look at it. As Rich Piana would say "just eat the fucking food" lol. I have had sinus issues now for over a year, my sense of smell has been off due to my nose getting plugged up all the time, hard to eat, drink, sleep, train when you can't breathe out your nose. My nose is now dependent on Afrin, but back to my point yeah sense of smell isn't all there, not due to COVID but I still just get the food down.

I hear ya MA, just wished there was a way to make it more enjoyable again. I dread even looking at food right now. I’m thinking about ordering up some MK677 to see if that will help with appetite.

It can, EQ can too, as well as some peptides, but I would just start with 3 whole food meals a day and add 2 shakes in-between meals to get your protein, find a condiment you enjoy, I can't live without BBQ sauce, get creative with spices, at this point it's just getting food and nutrients into you. Order some protein from my buddy here www.holmesnutrition.com, get the Cookies and Cream, you will LOVE the taste, he give a recipe for protein muffins or cakes with it, it's like the only protein I have had success using in baking...you can get muffins down for a snack lol. They are awesome, protein is awesome, just need to get creative brother. Here to help you anytime, you have my number.

afrin will also make you dependent on it. Eventually you need it to just breathe and worse eventually it doesn't work.
Have you got it looked at MA, I had to get surgery on my sinus for a polyp . once it was remove I could control the sinus infections to something reasonable ( 2-3 a year )
it was huge too... filled my sinus cavity and was basically a sack of warm water in dark of my sinus..so as you can imagine it was a breading ground for viruses and bacteria.
I can now control this with fluticasone ( to keep polyps under control) and Netty pot for the most part.

have you tried a netty pot to flush out the sinuses, it takes longer than afrin, but it is less harsh. less bleeding .
I recommend a ceramics one
NeilMed Nasaflo Porcelain Neti Pot, 50 Count is the one I use

I was addicted to Afrin myself for over a year, I ended up taking Sudafed with pseudoephedrine to wean off the afrin, may be worth a shot MA! I would use the Sudafed during the day and only use the afrin right before bed, then eventually I only used the afrin in one nostril before bed and getting off of it altogether.

This is what I need to do, @xdude yes I have been to the ear, nose, & throat doctor and all she said was I needed to get off the Afrin before she could do anything for me, didn't even give me any help on how to ween off, and this is such an epidemic, MANY people have become dependent on this shit, but not even a specialist doctor had an answer to how to get off it except cold turkey. She gave me a cycle of prednisone which I still have, wasn't going to take it until I had a plan in place to get off the Afrin, then I will incorporate it. I will try it Knights, thanks. It's horrible when you wake up gasping for air and your mouth is all dry, lips are chapped from nose being completely plugged and breathing out my mouth in the middle of the night, my sleep has been broken due to it as well. Shit is horrible

Net Pot is excellent - but I add silver and a drop or two of grapefruit seed extract ( also great for COVID ) -Pops

wow...did she at least scope your nose for polyps?
a netty uses salt water .. (not just table salt) and helps kill what is in your sinuses.
also make that crap wet will soften it , allowing you to blow it out..
Afrin last 12 hours, and works in about 5 minutes....
a netty will last a while, but it takes about 1/2 hour to an hour before you can blow it out..
you do have to get the stuff into the sinus , and that will trigger a coughing reflex at first, but it is the best way to get all the sinuses..

I only use a netty about 10-15 days a month.

When I was serious into it and had the mindset to maybe get on stage one day and not just be a gym rat... I BBQ'd, Smoked etc etc a ton. These flavor profiles enhance to capability to eat like a horse.

Pro's - With non sodium heavy home made rubs you can create delicious food. Specially smoked whole chickens.

Con's - Time consuming. Spending a weekend smoking a brisket, three full chickens, two racks of ribs and a pork shoulder will burn through a weekend. You will have food made up for a while though.

My bad.. It isn't cheap.. I'm not into the cheat meals or competing for anything. I'm just your regular guy trying to live right.. Thats why I (try) to never speak on my meals, cycles ect. It is great for "my" needs for proteins, selenium, niacin, phosphorous, plus very heart healthy, low in fat, boosts metabolism, promotes healthy tissue, and prevents bone loss. I do love barbecue, 'Baby Ray's Sauce"
But my sister in law makes this and a lot of moo goo gai pan, with white rice and vegetables on the side. I buy all the ingredients and she makes it for both family.................AM

It's expensive but so good! I will never change, I will eat 5-6 meals a day, lots of salmon, white fish, chicken, turkey, eggs and whites, yams, rice, oats, cream of rice, whey, veggies and fruits...should eat more fruit than I do, been programmed into me for so long it's just normal.

I remember a bud of mine and his bud went into a take out sushi place ( cheap but clean) they each order a 36 piece. the guy comes out with 1 36 piece . they asked where was the other , and the guy was surprised they want 2 36 platters. I don't know about you guys but rice doesn't fill me up. I am a bottomless pit when it comes to sushi...I also don't do raw...so that limits you to California rolls, lobster and shrimp...minimum 16 pieces. Love wa-sabi

That is A LOT of sushi, I remember seeing Jay Cutler eating that much in one sitting in a video, don't know if I could eat that much, if so would be in a food coma. Love ginger, wasabi is a staple, and will eat raw all day. Don't like the California Rolls or mayo riddened crab rolls, just sashimi, rice, and avocado and I am a happy man!
