Depends on what I'm trying to do. But yea and from my understanding it also helps slow the shake down going thru your system so you digest more of the protein.
I always put 1/4 cup in my wake up shake. That was my only direct source of carbs for the day.i ate 4200 cals all from protein and fats for my last show.
Yep everyday
I do it but I hate how gritty it is
I'd rather just eat them. I eat them raw almost daily. Just add cinnamon and some fresh fruit. A vegetarian bb friend of mine gave me the idea to eat them raw. I like it way better then cooking them. I can eat twice the amount uncooked vs cooked and I don't have to wait for 20 minutes for them to cool down lol.
I've had them in my shakes but didn't care for it.
oats, bannana, pb and some protein goes along way
^^^ staple. Great stuff.
I love oats in my shake.
1 Bannana
2 scoops whey
3 tbs P-nut butter
1 cup non fat yogurt
1/2 cup non fat milk
1/4 oats
2 ice cubes
Blend and enjoy....
I love oats in my shake. I can't stand to eat them cooked.
So try em raw! a vegetarian buddy turned me onto this. I use a tiny bit of water, loaded of Saigon cinnamon, ground flax, sunflower seeds, and fresh fruit or berries.
I can eat double the amount as cooked and I don't feel like I'm eating prison gruel this way lol.

I put them in my morning and pre workout shake but I have to grind them up real good because I don't like to chew my shakes. I also like to put in a couple teaspoons of flaxseed in my morning shake.
Looks so dry bro. No milk?
i add about 1/2 to 3/4 cup oats or 4-5 packets of oat fit, that i grind in my coffee grinder, pwo.
I mix it in with my shakes in the morning cause I don't have time to sit down and eat it.
Lobe oats in my protein shake. It's really great preworkout meal as the carbs help with energy and the protein helps eith muscle catabolism
Lmao ditch the milk and report back!
Dude I can't do it dry. Cotton mouth for days
my pre-sleep shake- 1/2 cup ground oats, 10oz whole milk, 2 scoops gainer, 2 tbl spoons olive oil. yumm!!
^^ id wake up so fat haha
Use more water. I feed my 1 yr old raw oats. If she can eat em....u can. Attachment 833
I put a whole bag of oats in the blender and ground them to near dust like (not on purpose, but that's how it all turns out after grinding most of the oats). I weight 1/4 cup of whole unground oats and I use the same weight with the grounds and use that in my shake.
It mixes well using water and chocolate flavored protein. Use milk instead and add some peanut butter and it tastes even better!
I like this combo, it tastes just like chocolate no bake cookies!
1/2 cup raw oats
50-75g choc whey
3 spoonfuls PB
20 oz whole milk
6 raw eggs
Same issue...but my scrambled egg whites, and not until recently when I changed back to Lucerne brand...I was using cage free eggs but the cost was double and felt a waste tossing the yolks...maybe what they feed the chickens??? I can clear a fucking hall with my gas lol.
add some olive oil to the mix too!! yum
ttt
Chobani non-fat greek yogurt has come out with oats in their yogurt. I always eat a cup before bedtime or at breakfast. Adds "texture" to the yogurt.
I'm still drinking 1 cup ground oats and 1 scoop protein in 12 ozs whole milk ever single night before bed. It helps me make it through the night without starving to death!
