ok this freaked me out a little....
I assume all of you do this, I have several email addresses and try to compartmentalize my mail by account
so the xdude mail goes to an xdude account, and has mostly to do with weightlifting and bodybuilding...( ok some porn sites too)

So one of my accounts for general stuff received this email with this subject line.

Fwd: "ABC Is One Of The Best Customers, Send Him The VIP Link"
from training@goldenera-muscle.com.

Where "ABC" is my real first name!!!
having a sales pitch for pro hormones and other stuff


So who the F' are these guys and how did they get my real name ... that account is not used with anything like this site..
and are definitely not link to my real name ..

it appears to be a real site, but where did they get my name ?

Maybe some other sponsor or company sold its customer list to them? Messed up if true.

I do use different passwords on all account,
This account is very old, I suspect that it is old enough that I might have order something from Bodybuilding.com and they got hacked a while ago....

Speaking of vpns. any one try a pi - hole .. where as I have dsl, this sounds appealing to me to get back some band width going to ads.

well I got another mail this morning, so I guess they are actively spamming me...
I did some research and it appears I have had this account since 04 ... which means I could have ordered something through BB.com
and this is just from that hack..that would explain how they got my first name
