Don't use your own personal cell phone, use a drop phone that you can buy from Walmart!
When I die I want to be called a friend or family member by everyone I came into contact with!!!

I'm actually going thru this right now with a friend getting a divorce. Verizon says they only keep text messages for 10 days but I was in court on a OOP few years ago and the defendant had 2 months worth of text print outs. Your Iphone never perm innately deletes messages . They are all retrievable with a USB plug in. If you want to get you husbands or wives text just wait til their phone is alone. Clip it on and in less than 1 min you have every text ever sent or recieved

I may add. A "text plus" app is the best route

yeah I agree .,. if you are looking for messages to be truly not associated from you.. disposable is the way to go..
I have a bud that ..shall we say.... may supply some of the things discussed here ... he uses net10 and changes phones ever couple months a couple weeks back they had a samsung on clearance and he stocked up...amazing what you can get for a $15 these days..

trick is to dispose of properly ... that sim card and the serial number is the link ..you have to get rid of both ..
there is charities that collect phones... you can drop off the phone there and it will go in a box and ship to some third world country .
    then destroy the sim card

    my $.02

Cell phone carriers are required to store your text for so long. Always remember you are an enemy of the state.
