My wife mentioned me having this done today. I'm not sure though. We have one little girl and I was hoping for another (boy). We barely make ends meet so we can't afford another one atm but I'm hoping for the best.

I got snipped about five years ago and there's nothing to it! Doc gives you a valium to take approx. 20-30 minutes before procedure to relax you and then shoots your sac up with lidocaine. Whole procedure takes around ten minutes. He gave me a script for pain killers but didn't need them. Had it done on a Friday and back to work on Monday, but no heavy lifting or sex for a while. You go in for a follow-up to make sure that it worked.
