This was just the cheapest wood from Home Depot Doug fir. Turned out pretty ice for shit wood I must say. Next piece I do is going to be pine and my friend ordered one he wants made from maple.

It looks awesome. What did you stain it with? I love OAK but I know it isn't what we are seeing as much right now. That's what I still lean towards though

I used a really dark walnut to stain it and then 3 coats of polyurethane clear semi gloss to protect it. Really makes the tabletop shine.

Thanks everyone! Yeah I'd like to find some black mahogany for sale around here in big enough boards to do something cool with. That would be sweet. It's hard to find in big pieces, at least that's my experience. It would be amazing if I could find some though

What up! Some of you may have noticed I haven't been around much lately. Been busy working for family enjoying my kids and thinking of starting a little side business. I made my first table last weekend hopefully the first of many. I'll also be making beds chairs and many other smaller wood pieces. So this is what I did.
