    Homemade nut butter

    This takes only 10 min to make, super easy & economical


    Homemade Nut Butter

    6 cups toasted, unsalted peanuts, almonds, pecans, walnuts or acombination of.
    1/4 to 1/3 cup light flavored olive oil
    1 1/2 teaspoons salt

    In the bowl of a food processor, cover & process the nuts about 2 min, scaping down the sides frequently, until creamy and smooth with only small lumps reamaining (Add more oil if needed to make it spreadable)

    Transfer into sealable container or glass jar
    (You can store in fridge for up to 2 months (Makes 31/2 cups)

    Fat: 18g
    Sodium: 125 mg
    Carbs: 5g
    Protein: 8g

    Sounds good. Hmmm maybe add a little chocolate protein powder?

    Well i love making nut butter, at home. I usually do a almond nut/sunflower seed combo sometimes with a handful, of hazelnut for a greater depth of flavour.I actually find, that the softer nut don’t need any added oil just let them process for a while long time. I do add a bit of oil to pistachio butter as my food processor, just can’t make it smooth enough.
