It dosnt seem like much but believe me that once you get up in weight its an ass kicker.
Workout 3 days per week or if you think your superman then you can try 4 days.
Eat like a mofo for this to work to the full potential for you.

Ok bro this is gonna blow your mind, but here goes.
Consider what you think you should start with.......then drop that by 35-50%.
The prob that most peeps have with the 5x5 is that they start way too heavy. You have to remember that on the SL 5x5 you gonna add 5 Lbs to every lift, every workout except Dead lifts. There your gonna add 10 lbs.
So at first you start out and you say this is bull shit. And then if you stick with it you get about half way thru and then you say "dam this is getting to be heavy ass shit man"
So if you start super light and you dont feel like your getting enough workout, then do extra sets. This is excellent for your connective tissues in getting them ready for the massive loads to come.
Bro the first time around I started (on bench) with an empty bar. I ended at 5 sets of 5 reps at 315.
Now you can always do a reset if you find that you started out too heavy but to me the system works much better if you can consistently keep moving forward.
