What’s up, MC! This will be my first training journal that I’ve logged. I’m actually kind of excited because I’ve never really recorded my stats in the gym seriously. I would like some feedback or improvements with my program. Of course, I want to share my experiences with everyone here. Here is some background on me, and why I’ve decided to switch from traditional to functional lifting. I’ve been in the military for 9 years now, and traditional lifting doesn’t seem to apply to what I do which is carry my body armor (80+ lbs), weapon, pistol, 2 radio’s, and depending on the mission I can carry more. Things to expect out on a mission, kick in doors, carry someone that is 250lbs+ for 100 meters, jump over walls, climb a mountain about 1500 feet and those are things that I can just think of off the top my head. I’m sure they’re plenty more to list but so many things can happen. I’ve been lifting seriously now for the last 3 years and before that just on and off. So here are my stats

That's awesome, I train in a similar fashion half the year too.

Sorry I haven't updated the log in a while but I will do it tonight. I have still been hitting the gym hard as ever. I might start a new program called the 4 horsemen which was designed after some navy seals...seems legit.

The way you are/were training looks quite interesting. I am trying to pick a program after following a traditional 4/5 day bodybuilding split for my entire lifting career. So many out there, it's hard to choose.
