Seems like many of us in this community have had surgeries. What kind have you had? Just thought maybe we could share experiences and it might help the rest if they are to encounter the same issues.

I have had a couple surgeries when I was younger but after 40, I had a left hip surgery to repair a shredded up labrum and shave down the ball in the hip socket. A year to the date later, I had a partial left nephrectomy (partial kidney removal). Hip surery improved the groin pain but 6 months post op, I have had chroniuc body pain that comes in flares, an abundance of tests and still no definitive answers.

I had surgery for a complete tear of the rotator cuff. Not a whole of fun, let me tell ya. After surgery took about a year to get back to where I was. 3 months rest, 3 months rehab. One cleared to start lifting again, took it very slowly for another 6 months.

Better now then? My husband had both shoulders done and one of them twice. That was over 10 years ago and they have been awesome since. Had a fantastic shoulder surgeon.

It's more under control w medication but I still have flare up. Borg shoulders need surgery I just don't have six months to recover. Me knew also needs it's due to a ligament pulling a small piece of bone from the knee. Started as osgoslaighters or whatever lol... That surgery is 50 50 though could make it better or worse

Glad to hear that is under control. That knee thing sounds painful? I hope you are not squatting still?

I had a really good surgeon as well. My other shoulder started giving me problems, but being wiser now I nipped it in the bud before it got too bad. Right now is the best they both felt in a long time.

Yes right in that stupid lump and never again I had to try that because the doc said I'm too young to always have a norco script. The specialist said otherwise and that's when I found out surgery was 50 50 . They said ear my norcos and go as long as I
Can lol thanks kaiser

I bet that was more the issue than the shot making you pass out.

I have had pain issues for years and whenever i go to doc, they say I dont look like I am in pain and I would like to shove my foot up their ass, lol. Now when i go I make myself look shitty so they take me serious, lol

That's y that abscess exploded I'm young and in good shape so the docs kept sending me home. Said I looked fine. Well only
Thing that made me feel better was warm baths. The water made the skin soft and boom explosion in the bath tub. Scariest moment of my life went to the er they said oh shit u need surgery right now. All the fluid and stuff went up so they
Has to go in and get it all out. They wanted to install a drain tune I told them to go fuck off now I have minor issues here and there

Yikes, that happened to my husband about 11 years ago. had an abcess in the glute, Landed hin in the hospital for 4 days with extreme pain and they were afraid it hit the bonne but thank God it didnt. They dicovered his liver enzymes were over 700 hundred though and they were freaked out. Anyway, he did have to have a drain in ther for 2 weeks, and it was a pain in the ass, literally, lol

Hmmm...left knee, patellar ostyotemy to include various screws and plates and 2 lateral releases. Right knee patellar shaving and a lateral release. Both knees hurt. Squats and dead lifts hurt but have benefitted me in the long run. Right shoulder, torn dislocated labrum and rotater cuff tear 80% of the cuff lateral tear. Reattach left nipple. Need umbillicle hernia surgery but managing to keep it in by wearing a lifting belt when working out. Push it back in every morning. After 15 months has not increased in size.

I tore my tricep off at the elbow with a piece of elbow bone still attached. Very painfull. It did not even happen at the gym. It took 3 hours for the Doc to use 3 screws to re-attach it to my elbow.

1 on right ankle done roght the first time

Refused back surgery because they told me it would be 50/50 so I just got strong and it got better.

baby1, I think you already know my situation. LOL

But for those who don't:
1 rotator cuff repair
Tonsils removed
1 testicular procedure (OH YEAH, it was painful later)
4 knee repairs with another on the way.

I smashed my right hand and had it repaired by a good Orthopaedic sergon. I lost use of it for about six months while the tendons healed.
I also had a bad TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). The TBI required me to have a Craniotomy.
I didnt have the surgeries close together, they were from different accidents.

Thanks red crayon, you reminded me of an accident that I had while helping build a Gold's Gym in 1987.

I had my left thumb and chin repaired after falling off of a ladder.
