Hemp Protein like soy and other beans or legumes, hempseed is an excellent source of protein because it contains all the 21 known amino acids. This includes the 9 essential amino acids that the body can't produce on its own and must take from dietary sources.

Hemp protein powder contains all the essential amino acids your body needs. Hemp protein comes from grinding the tiny, nutrient-rich seeds of the hemp plant, a member of the cannabis family. The seeds contain essential fats and proteins that your body needs to maintain your overall health.

Copy and pasted of course lol...just an alternative milk free protein powder, some who are lactose intolerant will use plant based protein powders.

Hemp protein has been around for a few years at least. I tried it a a few years ago.. It is pricey and you do not get as much protein in a serving as you do in whey. It is a good option for those of use who can not do dairy
