yeah I guess if he was singing this by the water with a morning sunrise, it would seem a bit lighter. silence can make you feel both dark and light

the song always was dark... if you listen to the lyrics... it is all about not listening

like I said ...it works

I also think Simon is not taken for the genius he is ...
Graceland is an amazing coming out of retirement album..

I am all about lyrics, always was, and I always loved this original. Bridge over troubled water is another one I have always loved

So this morning , a local radio contest has a snippet from the lyrics of one song sung to the music of another song.
this morning was "Sounds of Silence" to the music of "let's go crazy" ( I know you are having trouble picturing it in your head )

2 things
1)I heard it , and that was just wrong!
2) most of the people calling were referring to "Disturbed" not S&G

I dont remember the movie all that well, The Graduate I think it is called and the guy in the movie tgis song was about committed suicide in the movie because he lost his girlfriend to another. At least that is what I remember. Could be wrong. This song is too dark for me. Makes my mind go to a place I would rather it not be
