If certain groups believe this is the answer, then I suggest they watch the movies, starting with the Purge and then the follow ons. That is only a 24 suspension of police intervention with the addition of all law being suspended. This is what they want and they somehow think we would be better off.

I think all police dept in the US should oblige this ridiculous request for 1 week. I bet within days those same people will be screaming for us to come save them.

There were several programs where a certain group of people were calling for the police to be abolished and the money then spent on drug abuse programs, community projects, etc and somehow we will all Kumbayah to our hearts content and those rapists, murderers, child molesters, robbers, etc will go sheesh, I've been so foolish. Now there are no more cops, I need to be a normal citizen and not harm anyone anymore.

Really? I just don't get it. At least we know the cops are not going anywhere, but if they did, I would not blame them. Putting your life on the line everyday for shit pay, wading in the cesspool of society, hip dip in bullshit and filth, we need a break. Some may say this isn't how it is, but I lived that life for over 4 yerars and the number of nice people and areas I interacted with was very fleeting. To this day I feel like bugs are still crawling on me, I can still smell the stench of a drunk, or drug head or someone who hasn't bathed in months. Nothing quite stinks like a drug house. Nothing quite like people who hate you and at the same time beg you to help them. wtf?
