Okay, so I work at a breakfast restaurant and there are always thousands of eggs around. I got a wild hair up my ass last night and scrambled up 6 eggs and chugged them down with no issues. Anyone been sick or know anyone that has gotten salmonella from consuming raw eggs? Thanks fellas!

Re: Raw Eggs
I often do the same thing, I have never gotten sick. I dont just drink any old eggs though I buy them from a company called egg whites international (One of many companies that sell egg whites) Plus 2 regular eggs from EB. If your worried about getting sick you can cook them first. Also I always add some extra Virgin Olive oil.

I've never nor have I ever seen anyone get sick from it. I'd just rather eat than drink.

Re: Raw Eggs
Okay, so I have been scrambling up 6 eggs and chugging them down for the past 3 days and I havent felt any type of illness. It is so much easier for me to drink them down in 10 seconds rather than cooking them and having to chew them up, maybe I'll add some oatmeal that I have ground up to the mix to have a complete protein/carb drink...

Re: Raw Eggs
http://www.livestrong.com/article/26...protein-facts/
The opposite is true according to a study published in the Journal of Nutrition. The study found protein from cooked eggs is absorbed by the body at a rate of 91 percent, while only 50 percent of raw egg protein is absorbed. According to researchers, the higher rate of protein absorption from cooked eggs results from the structural changes in the protein molecule induced by heating. Cooking eggs provide more easily absorbed protein without any of the risks associated with consuming raw eggs.
