I would just be happy with looking like a powerlifter, i don't have to be a Frank Zane, and i don't lift like that anyway. I should see some nice results this year, if I just take her slow and steady, and just be patient, looking forward to the journey

        • It's really hard to watch and gauge and change people's diets when they don't follow them in the first place. Think about something. If you don't know enough about nutrition in the first place and a veteran trainer who has trained hundreds of competitors puts u on a diet then you take it into your own hands to change the diet because "muscular development" or "flex" said do it another way, u are going to fail every time. I can tell u 1 thing NOONE in the bodybuilding world I know of drinks milk! None! It wasn't til I came on the forums did I see people who just had to have their milk.dont over think this shit. And I hope to shoot u another diet by tonight!

            LOL. It's all good, don't be mad FG, I ain't trying to piss you off. Don't get worked up over it, I'm not. Just trying to get my cals up, no biggie. I just can't eat that clean and get my cals in. I don't have a schedule that permits me to do it. I honestly don't expect to win this transformation anyhow, but it's fun to participate. I'm still a noobie and have a lot to learn on my diet, which hey, we all make mistakes, at least I'm going forward in progress, that's all that matters.....and for the first time at least I'm learning how to count my cals, carbs, and protein and see how it fits altogether. Shoot if you have to boot me out for not following rules....LOL.

                Agree again as usual Fit, it's a big change for people, I agree with Milk as well, I had one guy try to tell my peanut-butter was a good source of protein..How can a food that is around 14% protein be called 'a good source'??? that;s the ignorance you have to battle with..Btw peanut-butter is a great FAT source, I mix 2 tbs with my night protein shake for added fat and slow the absorption.

                • Peanut butter has its place but I wouldn't say that it's a good protein source. I also love milk too though... Especially chocolate milk... I haven't been drinking much lately though trying to follow diet I'm not even using it in my shakes anymore

                    Omg I just told my wife that"chocolate milk in protein shakes" she died laughing!!!!! She said "now I'd do that"!!! I couldn't imagine doing that.lol...I can't imagine using 2% milk.noone does that!!NO ONE!!!!not in the fitness world anyway!!!!!!hell I'd drink 29 shakes a day!!! Lol

                      • Fit, explain why milk is so terrible. I'm not disagreeing at all I just want to learn the reasons for it having no place in anyone's diet. I drink raw milk, not tons but some.

                          Imho, since we loose the ability to produce lactase the enzyme that breaks down milk around 3 yrs old, it seems logical that milk is a 'childrens' food and not intended for adults, no other mammal on the planet drinks milk as an adult(from the own species let alone another) I just don't think we were meant to do so, Alot of adults are lactose intolerant, Milk dosn't just give me gas, I tend to produce shit loads of mucus as well, an allergic response. The calcium in milk is very coarse and hard to digest.This is what The Physician's Committee for Responsible medicine, thinks about milk (even for children)
