I used to go to press meets ..they inspire me even if it is some kid doing his/her max... they are all going for it no matter where they place... I was at one event where this women was in her 60's ( and she looked amazing for 60+ , tops I would have guess 40) she did aerobics all her life and her boy friend took her to the meet and she set the state records.. grant the records were pretty low how many 60+ women bench ( well maybe not on this web site ) but I thought it was awesome ...
I was also at this and it scared the sh*t out of me ..
ran into this guy a couple months later.. he was more bummed out about the shirt... gotta love itComment

One thing I forgot to mention is that Spoto bench pressed 700lbs in his first meet. This was his 3rd PLing Meet. Heck of a lift. But I wondr how competitive power lifers feel about the pause. That bar was coming up before the judge said press. Compare it to the Dan green lifts and the dude takes a serious pause and then presses.Comment
