    My wife wants to start working out and I'm not sure where to start with her.

    Always the basics. Free weights with slow good form, hammer machines.
    Most women want to tone arms, work back, ass, legs.

    Just give her 2-3 exercises for whatever muscle group she wants to train.

    I would just ask my wife ok what do u want to target today? Show her some moves. Spot her then either turn her loose or train with her depending on the day. If I let her loose I go check on her form and see how she's doing.
    Some like u to be there whole time others want the space so they don't feel like u are watching them. Just ask what she likes.
