Yea I believe it needs to go to the dealer for any work performed so it's in the computer and all services kept up to date. I believe it was an extra expense as well I just can't recall how much. I want to say it added 30 bucks to my monthly but I'm not 100 percent sure. The real question though is like u said are they gonna take care of me if I need them to one day
