As the title says, do you gauge yourself every so often to see how you are doing in pursuing your dreams or goals? I self reflect alot, just the type of guy I am. I anaylze just about everything in my life and see if were I am walking is getting me to where I am heading. I do believe that self reflection can alleviate unwanted future stress. If you constantly reflecting your actions then you won't have to scramble to adjust from a reaction.

Re: How many of you self reflect?
Well said brother. It's important to put the things and relationships that are most important to the top of any of our list. If we include them in our reflecton then how can we go wrong in any decsions we make! When I die I want to be called a friend or family member by everyone I came into contact with!!!

I reflect but for the most part it's so that I don't forget the past. Remember the saying... those that forget the past are doomed to repeat it.DISCLAIMER: "SisterSteel" is a fictitious character with the sole purpose to entertain. Couldn't agree more with you guys. Self reflection is extremely healthy.
To ensure my career, marriage, family/children's development and other areas is an essential staple to building a happy life in my opinion. It's VERY hard to do. I ask my wife and family what I can do better, refocusing efforts, adjusting things everyday. Same goes for the career. My colleagues ask why I ask for feedback/constructive criticism.
Without being aware of these things and identifying how you can make a positive change you may stall life, not getting ahead. Everyone in the BB, health and fitness community strive for it everyday. Applying similar principals to all facets of life will make for a wonderful, fulfilling life, avoiding hiccups and failure. There is no better feeling of success.

Re: How many of you self reflect?
Everyday and at times for hours on end...especially after being laid off of my job of 23 years, kind of makes you think about things and the uncertainties of life...but it does remind you of what is truly important in life and that is your family, kids, wife, and friends...things that are not materialistic or monetary, because in reality like in Oklahoma...it can be taken from you in an instant without warning! I am pretty damn good at beating myself up over things I didn't accomplish that I felt I could have done better, but does it really matter?Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. (Philippians 2:3)
We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us! (Philippians 4:13)

I try to improve myself all the time. I have an issue with holding a grudge when I feel I've been wronged. This yr I've been trying new things and making self improvements both body and mind.
I do learn from the past but try to always keep moving forward!Blah blah blah Latina's ass...blah blah blah!
