  • Wife being difficult

Wife and I are not agreeing on a couple of things. Opening a second business is putting a strain on our relationship. If we agree we could open store nov1 but we dont so we are looking at jan 1 so we have to pay another 2 months lease before opening

Sometimes waiting a bit longer is the best thing. If the decision making process is already causing a conflict, the time may be good fpr you both. You will have more time to think each others point through and come to a compromise.

No offense but from an outsiders perspective seems like she always gets her way and has her own agenda.

You are the main bread winner. I say do what U feel will be best money wise in The long run.
If your supp store is successful then let her get her bakery. Food places rarely if ever are successful. It would have to be in an amazing location an really offer something unique to draw ppl in to a bakery to be successful. on that same note the supp bus is so saturated with completion......no offense but a supp store seems impossible to make money with. The Internet makes it so competitive. There is a local guy here he sells fractions above cost to make it happen.

I don't ask my wife permission. I tell her what I'm doing she doesn't like it....that's her problem.

        Just my $0.02 bro
Blah blah blah Latina's ass...blah blah blah!

Agree with the bakery part but there are a lot of very successful supplement stores. I work in the supplement business and it really not that hard to have a successful supplement store.

            Re: Wife being difficult

There is a store about 40 min from me in a horrible locationand he spends $20k a month on products and gross sales of $50k. He just impending his 3rd store. I understand what my wife wants I just think we should open then worry about buying fancy shit. I started my glass company with $1000 and a truck. I think it will work to not spend a lot on shelves and shit at first.

On top of running the glass company and opening a supp store I'm working with designers on clothing line. I'm stressed the fuck out. I don't smoke but may have to start.

I can see her side she's shootin for a higher end client... Going for a different pool of people. Not a bad idea in my opinion. I'd rather shop at target than Walmart I'd rather have name brand not generic maybe I'm wrong though

The wife and I were seriously thinking of opening a Max Muscle store where we live, but $150k start up is a bit too much. We are starting our own business/website of personal training & nutrition and in process of getting certified, but will also be opening a 1200 sq ft gym to train clients in and have an outdoor area to do cross fit and group classes outside in nice days. Does your wife feel a part of the venture? Is it something she too is passionate about??

I think u have a better approach. Get the place up and running. Once it's rolling u can buy some fancier stuff.

I mean it's a supp store. U dont need marble floors and led lighting.

My buddies store has metal racks from lowes they are $75 each the ones we have are rediculous. They do look better but I think the shelves from lowes would work till we made money. If we make money I found another location to open a second store.

I'd say just do it the way u and her want it the first time. Once shelves or stocked and store is full it will b that much harder to replace things. I do see your point though in saving money where u can till it really takes off
