Re: Anti-Monsanto Activism!!!
well the short answer is yeah...
they are world wide for crop seed distribution, there are different laws in different countries..
I remember hearing about a court case against a mexican village that was producing a yellow bean ( similar to a lental) that they were growing for generations..( had frescos on Mayan temples for crying out loud) any how Monsanto was suing them to stop selling the beans on the grounds that they patented it .. their proof ...genetic tests.. and Monsanto claimed there was never a yellow bean until they came up with it... the Mayan temples was pretty good proof to the contrary... however it also proved that the beans were already cross contaminated in the boonies of Mexico..
the genes are out there.. the genie is out of the bottle..
worlds top crops wheat corn soybeans rice cotton... all gmo's
