    this is silly

    I make 6 figures and up and i had to show a copy of my 401k to rent a bouse. wtf?! 49 years of owning and renting never had to do that. the flipping owner wants to be sure i am liquid. some that makes him think if i get laid off i wont move to the next job and cancel my lease. guess he shouldnt own more than one home and should be happy ill rent it.

                  wtf is a 401K going to tell him... you can't tap that unless you are willing to take the penalties.. IIRC it is not part of bankruptcy

                  So why would it matter ... ?
                  I guess it would indicate you are OK at saving...

                  By the way anyone out there that doesn't have a 401k/ira or roth.. I realize it it difficult sometimes, but you have to watch that ....retirement is ugly on just social security
                  there are a lot of people out there with nothing...and I think that would be scary

                  if you are complaining about taxes and can do a regular IRA.. that is a huge break.
                  figure you put away 5k and the goverenment is giving you about $1600 in taxes back to do it ...at least in my state.
                  anyhow I will get off the soap box..

                  but Chesty that is crap.. I would look into that before giving him any account info...
                  he has your credit and you pay your bills right ... that's enough

                    Yep pay bills good credit etc, I just think they are batch up assholes personally. Cause we found a place bigger in a good area just not oc if you know what I mean.

                        z the bad news is, wbile we are approved for the bigger bime, my two step daughters have tbree criminal charves against them. it will probably take 3-6 months to get them thru the court system. They are ghilty caught in tbe act and confessed. Even to plead ghilty will cost me 4000 for a lwyer, up to 5100 in fines and they probably wont even get community service. The best part is we cant keave town cause we cant aford several cross country round trip airfairs for them the aife and the baby who is now over 2. moving would cost us between 15 and 20 k for their stupid ass shit, staying would still cost me 5 to 10k if i am lucky plus i would have to stay where i was leaving whicb never voes over well, even in a big compang like mine.
