Landscaping and hedge trimming

I have a electric hedge trimmer. It just reciprocates back and forth no chainsaw blade to speak of.

I can't create masterpieces of yard perfect like I want and it pisses me off lol. It's just not precise enough.

Do I need a chainsaw for this type of work? Does the chain cut nice and tight? Is that the difference?

Chainsaw is for cutting trees and branches, hedge trimmers are for shaping and grooming hedges. What are you trying to make your hedges look like...naked women???

I want that look for a finished product and the above do not create that look! I've seen them do it and it's not by hand.

Chainsaw if you want to remove them completely so you don't have to trim them

I have lopers like that and straight jaws as well. I'll have to learn Spanish and as the guys doing the neighbors or something.
