Let me ask you. Did you lift/train before your child was diagnosed or did you start after? Give always been amazed at the number of people in the iron game who have special needs kids or work with them. I can think of 15-20 guys I know (personally or on forums) who have a special need child, volunteer for organizations (like Autism speaks, Special Olymipcs, Hope Kids, etc) or work with them in the schools. I always wondered if seeing these kids' struggles is what drives these guys to train, or the drive it takes to train like we do, mirrors the emotions and patience it takes to work with SN kids so that's what they choose. Maybe I'll start a thread about it.

About 3 1/2 years ago. He's made such amazing progress in the past year! A year ago he couldn't talk and was still in diapers. Now he's fully potty trained, reading at a 3-4th grade level and even taught himself multiplication when he got bored with the kindergarten math program! Lol.

That's awesome. Since he taught himself multiplication I'm assuming he's good with math? He may turn into a savant maybe

Oh definitely. They gave him the standardized test towards thr end of last school year and he scored in the 95th percentile or higher in everything for all kindergarteners in the USA and they couldnt score his math because no other kindergarteners are even at that level!
